CameraHaus at AACC Photo Expo 2026: Four Days of Unli Try at Alabang Town Center
The south of Metro Manila has its own photography community, and once a year it gathers in one place. VISION 2026, the Ayala Alabang Camera Club's annual photo expo, took over the Activity Center of Alabang Town Center from August 20 to 23, 2026. CameraHaus was there as booth exhibitor and sponsor, with one rule at the counter: every camera is there to be tried, for as long as you like. Here is how opening day went.
The biggest photo gathering in the south
The Ayala Alabang Camera Club has been running its expo for years, and it has grown into the largest gathering of photography and videography enthusiasts in the southern part of the metro. VISION 2026 followed the format that works: an exhibit of members' work, brand booths with gear to handle, talks and demos through the four days, and a floor where hobbyists, professionals, and people who just walked in from the mall could all stand at the same counter.
For CameraHaus it was an easy yes. We have branches in the south, we know the community, and an expo like this puts us next to the people we serve without a store counter in between.
Opening day
The expo opened on Thursday, August 20, with a short program on the Activity Center floor. Speakers welcomed the club, the partner brands, and the mall, and the ribbon was cut in front of the exhibit wall. CameraHaus Vice President Robenson Ong Lo cut the ribbon alongside the club's officers and partners. Then the doors, figuratively, opened.
Abstract in Nature
The heart of any AACC expo is the members' exhibit. This year's collection, Abstract in Nature, filled the exhibit wall with close studies of texture, colour, and form found outdoors: bark, petals, water, light on leaves, the kind of frames that make you look twice at things you walk past every day. It set the tone for the whole expo. Before you try a new camera, here is what a camera can do in the hands of someone who has been paying attention for years.
Guests at the booth
Two visitors made opening day memorable. Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon came by the CameraHaus booth and, like everyone else, picked up a camera. He spent a few minutes with a Ricoh GR, framing the floor from the counter, which is exactly what the booth was for. Sony Philippines President and Managing Director Shuhei Sugihara also stopped by, and the CameraHaus team was glad to have a partner brand's leadership on the same floor as its customers.
Unli try
The CameraHaus booth ran on one idea for four days: unli try. No time limit, no "just for a second," no putting it back so someone else can look. Pick up the camera, walk a few steps, shoot the exhibit wall, shoot your friend, check the screen, ask a question, pick up the next one. Fujifilm, Canon, Sony, Lumix, and Ricoh GR bodies all sat on the counter for that purpose, and the CameraHaus team stayed within arm's reach to answer whatever came up.
For anyone ready to go home with a camera, the booth also carried the CameraHaus in-store card installment plans, up to 24 months at zero interest on participating cards. Several visitors who came to try walked out with a box.
What we took home from Alabang
Four days of steady traffic. The southern photography community is large, loyal, and glad to have an expo of its own.
People buy cameras they have held for ten minutes, not ten seconds. The same idea drove our Point & Go pop-up at SM Mall of Asia three weeks earlier.
AACC has kept a community together for decades. A booth in the middle of that community is worth more than any ad.
VISION is annual. So are we.
