Camerahaus at Photoworld Asia 2026
Event Recap
CameraHaus at PhotoWorld Asia 2026
Four days, countless conversations, and a shared reminder that the best gear decisions happen when you can see, hold, and talk through the details together.
On January 29, 2026, Glorietta Activity Center felt different. The usual rhythm of Makati gave way to something familiar to photographers and creators: that steady, energized walk from booth to booth, the sound of people comparing notes, and the quiet excitement of seeing tools up close before making your next move.
This year, PhotoWorld Asia 2026 was organized by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF). FPPF built the event as a complete experience with two parts: an open, walkable trade show and trade fair at Glorietta Activity Center (Makati), paired with a closed-door seminar and convention program at the AIM Conference Center (Makati).

FPPF’s message for 2026 also landed in a very real way on the show floor. Photography is evolving into “living pictures,” where stills, motion, and sound come together as one story. You could feel that shift everywhere, from the learning sessions to the demos to the kinds of questions visitors brought to our booth.
A show floor built for discovery
Before the crowd fully settled in, you could already read the weekend. People scanned the floor like a map, spotting booths they had been waiting to visit and circling back to areas that caught their attention. The open-area trade fair format made everything feel close and accessible, with enough space for movement and enough energy to keep you exploring.
CameraHaus on the floor
For CameraHaus, PhotoWorld Asia is never just about showing up. It is about showing up with purpose. We built our space to be a place where people could slow down, ask the real questions, and get hands-on time with gear that fits the way they shoot.
Throughout the weekend, we met creators at every stage. Some arrived with a shortlist and a budget. Others arrived with a vision and a lot of “I am not sure yet.” The best part of the booth experience was watching those conversations turn into clarity, one detail at a time.
Opening day, officially
Every PhotoWorld has a moment when the weekend truly begins. At PhotoWorld Asia 2026, that moment arrived with the ribbon cutting, a celebration that marked the official opening of the event. We were proud to witness it alongside Regine Tolentino and other brand delegates, setting the tone for the days ahead.
The compact corner that kept pulling people in
On a busy show floor, you notice the areas that make people stop mid-walk. The GR display area was one of those places. It drew a steady flow of visitors who wanted a closer look, a quick hands-on check, and a better sense of what compact capability really feels like in person.
Beyond Glorietta: the learning track at AIM
While the trade show kept the energy high, the seminar and convention program at AIM Conference Center gave the community something equally valuable: time to think, learn, and refine craft. It echoed the event’s theme, with sessions focused on storytelling across formats, creator workflows, AI tools, and enduring fundamentals.

- 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM: Lewis Choi (Hong Kong), “Exploring People and Culture Through My Lens”
Saturday, January 31, 2026

Sunday, February 1, 2026
- 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Hanson Fong (USA), “Posing and Lighting Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere”
The thread connecting the seminar room to the show floor was simple: creators want stronger stories, smarter workflows, and skills that keep up with hybrid demands, without losing the fundamentals that make great images timeless.
Keeping the floor moving
An open-area trade fair stays alive when there is always something happening. Throughout the weekend, brand-led workshops and live sessions kept visitors circulating, returning, and discovering something new. One of the most structured schedules on the floor came from Sony, with sessions spread across the event dates and covering cinematic workflows, portrait sessions, travel topics, and hands-on opportunities with new gear.
A sample of what visitors could catch on the floor
- January 29: Sessions on cinematic wedding reels, beginner commercial filmmaking, and cinematic live production using the FX series
- January 30: A Palm Drive Stage portrait session featuring the Alpha 7 V, plus a travel lens session (SEL100M28GM)
- January 31 to February 1: Wildlife (Alpha 1 II), landscapes (Alpha 7 V), getting the most from A7CII, and gear selection and travel photography topics
For CameraHaus, that momentum matters. It brings people back with clearer intent, better questions, and more confidence. And when the community is learning in real time, the gear conversations become sharper and more meaningful.
