Kodak PIXPRO AZ425 42x Astro Zoom Bridge Camera: 24 to 1008 mm with a rechargeable battery
The Kodak PIXPRO AZ425 42x Astro Zoom Bridge Camera (Red) is a 20 MP bridge camera with a 42x optical zoom (24 to 1008 mm equivalent), optical image stabilization and a rechargeable LB-060 battery. Available from Kodak at Camerahaus.
Who Is This Made For?
The AZ425 is for long-zoom shooters who prefer a rechargeable pack to AA cells.
42x optical zoom, 24 to 1008 mm
The lens reaches past 1000 mm equivalent while still opening to a 24 mm wide angle; with digital zoom the maximum is 168x.
Rechargeable lithium-ion power
The included LB-060 pack charges inside the camera over USB and is rated for about 240 shots per charge under CIPA testing.
20 MP sensor with OIS
A 20.68 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor is paired with optical image stabilization to keep long-zoom shots and video steady.
1.6 cm macro
Macro mode focuses from 1.6 cm at the wide end for close-up detail.
Manual and semi-automatic modes
Program, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Manual exposure modes, plus Auto, scene modes and a custom mode.
Object tracking and detection
Autofocus can track a moving subject, and the camera recognises faces, smiles, blinks, cats and dogs.
Panorama and HDR built in
Sweep panoramas up to 360 degrees are stitched in the camera, and an HDR mode holds detail in high-contrast scenes.
