Roof prism
Lightweight and compactness are two of the keywords to describe these binoculars. That's why, first of all, they have been provided with a roof prism.
Multi-coating
By applying a multi-coating (multilayer film coat) to all of the lenses and prisms surfaces, these binoculars achieves a higher capacity of light transmittance. But far from being enough, the roof prism of these binoculars has been also provided with a "phase coating" to correct any phase difference, and a dielectric multilayer film has been applied on the auxiliary prism to improve resolution and contrast.
