Fujifilm XF 16mm F2.8 R WR: A Pocketable 24mm-Equivalent Wide Angle
A prime camera lens for the X Series system with an F2.8 maximum aperture, equivalent to 24mm in 35mm terms and weighing just 155g. It is weather sealed, and built to draw the full resolution out of Fujifilm's sensors.
Who Is This Made For?
The XF 16mm F2.8 R WR is for street, documentary, travel and environmental portrait photographers who want a natural, slightly wide view. It is small enough to leave on the camera all day, and its F2.8 maximum aperture gives plenty of light for evenings and interiors.
Optics Designed for High-Resolution Sensors
The XF 16mm F2.8 R WR uses 10 elements 8 groups (includes 2 aspherical elements). Aspherical elements correct spherical aberration and distortion at the edges. Fujifilm's coatings control flare and ghosting for clean, contrasty images across the 83.2° angle of view.
Bright Aperture, Smooth Bokeh
The F2.8 maximum aperture and 9-blade rounded diaphragm produce soft, natural background blur and clean specular highlights. A physical aperture ring lets you set exposure by feel, the X Series way. Minimum aperture is F22.
Fast, Quiet Autofocus
A stepping motor delivers quiet, smooth autofocus suited to both stills and video. It focuses from 17cm with a maximum magnification of 0.13x.
Weather Sealed
The lens is sealed at multiple points against dust and moisture and rated to operate at -10°C. It measures ø60.0mm x 45.4mm and weighs 155g, and takes ø49mm filters.
