Who Is This Made For?

The R5 Mark II is for professionals and serious enthusiasts who need resolution for commercial, landscape and portrait work, speed for action, and video good enough to carry a production. The card-bundle listing adds a 512GB CFexpress Type B card.

45MP Stacked Sensor at 30fps

The new stacked sensor delivers 45 megapixels at 30 frames per second with the electronic shutter and minimal rolling shutter. In-camera neural network upscaling can produce 180MP files, and noise reduction processing cleans high-ISO shots.

Eye Control AF and Next-Generation Subject Detection

Eye Control AF from the R3 moves the focus point where you look, and Dual Pixel Intelligent AF adds Action Priority for sports, Register People Priority and improved tracking of small, fast subjects.

8.5-Stop Stabilisation and a 5.76M-Dot EVF

Coordinated in-body and lens stabilisation reaches 8.5 stops at the centre of the frame, and the 0.76x OLED viewfinder is blackout-free at 30fps.

8K/60p RAW and Cinema EOS Features

Record 8K/60p RAW and 4K/120p internally, with Canon Log 2 and 3, false colour, waveform and a heat-management design that allows long takes. Dual CFexpress Type B and SD slots and the new LP-E6P battery complete the package.
