Canon TS-E 45mm F2.8: Tilt and Shift at a Normal Focal Length

A prime camera lens for Canon EF mount with an F2.8 maximum aperture, 45mm on full frame, weighing 645g. It is built to resolve the detail of Canon's latest sensors.

Who Is This Made For?

The TS-E 45mm F2.8 is for architecture, interior, product and fine-art photographers who need to correct perspective and control the plane of focus in camera. It is the lens you reach for when the shot matters, and its F2.8 maximum aperture gives plenty of light for evenings and interiors.

Optics Designed for High-Resolution Sensors

The TS-E 45mm F2.8 uses 10 elements in 9 groups. Aspherical and UD elements keep edges sharp and colour fringing low, and Super Spectra coatings control flare and ghosting. The diagonal angle of view is 51°00′.

Tilt, Shift and Rotate

Shift corrects converging verticals and lets you stitch wider frames, tilt swings the plane of focus to keep a whole facade or tabletop sharp, and both movements rotate for use in any orientation.

Bright Aperture, Smooth Bokeh

The F2.8 maximum aperture and 8-blade circular diaphragm produce smooth background blur and clean specular highlights. Minimum aperture is F22.

Fast, Quiet Autofocus

A stepping motor delivers smooth, quiet autofocus suited to stills and video. Closest focus is 0.40m with a maximum magnification of 0.16x.

Compact and Light

The lens is built with a lightweight, precise barrel and a smooth manual focus ring. It measures 81 x 90.1mm and weighs approximately 645g, and takes 72mm filters.
