Optics Designed for High-Resolution Sensors

The RF 85mm F1.2 L USM uses an optical design matched to Canon's high-resolution sensors. As an L-series lens it carries Canon's best glass, with UD and aspherical elements to control aberrations and Air Sphere or Super Spectra coatings against flare. The diagonal angle of view is 28°30′.

Bright Aperture, Smooth Bokeh

The F1.2 maximum aperture and 9-blade circular diaphragm produce smooth background blur and clean specular highlights. The RF control ring can be assigned to aperture, ISO or exposure compensation for direct control. Minimum aperture is F16.
