Canon RF 16-28mm F2.8: A Compact Constant-F2.8 Ultra-Wide Zoom
A zoom camera lens for Canon RF mount with an F2.8 maximum aperture, 16-28mm on full frame, weighing 445g. It is weather sealed, and built to resolve the detail of Canon's latest sensors.
Who Is This Made For?
The RF 16-28mm F2.8 is for landscape, real estate and architecture photographers who want ultra-wide framing with zoom flexibility. It is small enough to leave on the camera all day, and its F2.8 maximum aperture gives plenty of light for evenings and interiors.
Optics Designed for High-Resolution Sensors
The RF 16-28mm F2.8 uses 16 elements in 13 groups. Aspherical and UD elements keep edges sharp and colour fringing low, and Super Spectra coatings control flare and ghosting. The diagonal angle of view is 108°10′ to 75°00′.
Bright Aperture, Smooth Bokeh
The F2.8 maximum aperture and 9-blade circular diaphragm produce smooth background blur and clean specular highlights. The RF control ring can be assigned to aperture, ISO or exposure compensation for direct control. Minimum aperture is F22.
Fast, Quiet Autofocus
A stepping motor delivers smooth, quiet autofocus suited to stills and video. Closest focus is 0.25m with a maximum magnification of 0.11x (f=16mm) / 0.26x (f=28mm)x.
Weather Sealed
The lens is sealed against dust and moisture. It measures 76.5 × 91.0(Retracted)mm and weighs approximately 445g, and takes 67mm filters.
