The built-in HDF diffuses bright areas and softly blurs the edges of the frame, echoing film photography and old movies. Assign it to a button and you can switch between crisp, high-contrast GR images and soft, expressive ones shot to shot.

Soft Light for Portraits and Backlit Scenes

With the HDF engaged, skin tones look gentle, flare blooms around light sources and harsh midday sun turns friendly. It pairs naturally with the 40mm equivalent lens and Image Control presets such as Positive Film and Retro.

Night Streets with a Cinematic Glow

Neon, headlights and shop windows spread into a soft halo instead of hard points, giving night photography a cinematic quality. Hi-Contrast B&W and the new Cinema Image Control settings complete the look.
